Morgan Sports Law successfully obtains an Order for Provisional Measures from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (“CAS”) on behalf of Pablo Barrios.

Summary

By a FEI Tribunal Decision dated 15 February 2019, Mr Barrios, a professional show jumper from Venezuela, was suspended from competition for six (6) months, after being notified that Caffeine – a Controlled Medication listed on the FEI Prohibited List – had been detected in a sample collected from his horse.

Mr Barrios instructed Morgan Sports Law to represent him in his appeal to the CAS.

On 14 May 2019, the CAS issued an Order, granting Mr Barrios’ Request for Provisional Measures and allowing him to return to competition the next day.
